a)    Advanced liver surgery including living related liver transplantation for children and adults

b)    Largest pancreatic surgery center in the country with a vast experience in treatment of diseases like chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer.

c)    Advanced laparoscopic surgery center, dealing with all types of basic and advanced laparoscopic (key-hole surgery) for diseases such as gall bladder stones, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, gastroesophageal reflux disease, colorectal cancer, hernia, splenic diseases, adrenal diseases, achalasia, and other gastroesophageal diseases.
 

d)    Large colorectal cancer division which deals with cancers of the large intestine. Vast experience in surgery with preservation of the anus.

Dr H Ramesh is one of the leading Surgical gastroenterologists of the country. He qualified as a surgical gastroenterologist in 1987. He is well known for his expertise in gastroenterologic surgery especially pancreatic and liver surgery. He has performed major research in the fields of chronic pancreatitis. He has received many awards including the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England ad eundem (FRCS England), which is a rare honour. He was trained at some of the best surgical centers in the world in Paris, New York, and in Korea. Currently he has the largest experience in the country in the surgical treatment of chronic pancreatitis, periampullary and pancreatic cancer and in Klatskin tumours of the bile duct.

2.     Dr. B Venugopal  - MS MCh FRCS DNB, Chief of Division of Liver transplantation

Dr B Venugopal capped a brilliant academic career by a 2 year fellowship at the Prestigious Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge, UK, which was among the first centers to commence Liver transplantation in the world. He has extensive experience in liver, pancreas and kidney transplantation, and in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery.

Dr A Venugopal trained in Russia where he also completed his PhD in Gastrointestinal Surgery. He has extensive experience in all areas of Gastrointestinal Surgery including the Proctology Clinic.
