Organ donation is a sensitive topic, subject to a lot of emotions. These emotions are usually very strong; as well they should be; because the act of giving new life to a person is something close to divinity. And more than often the recipients tend to develop a strong attachment to the donors and their family, so close in fact that they themselves feel like extended family. “SNEHA SPARSHAM” is a VPS Lakeshore initiative, it is a function organized to host a get-together for these new extended families. It is an opportunity for them to come together and meet other such families and share their experiences with each other. Also we from our side give gifts to the donors (or their families) to honor their selfless sacrifice, and also to the recipients as a gesture to thank them; for choosing us to help them through their difficult journey towards recovery.

Chief Guest: Hon’ble Justice B. Kemal Pasha, High Court of Kerala, The event was inaugurated by an organ donor Bishop Jacob Murikan. Fr. Davis Chiramel, Founder of Kidney Federation of India, in his words said “Organ donation is not an act of generosity but an act of compassion towards our fellow mankind.”
