A 19 year old plus two student, Sarath P. S, hailing from Eramalloor suffered a serious injury in an accident when a car rammed into his bike and was shifted to VPS Lakeshore on deteriorating condition. He was declared brain dead and it was with a heavy heart that his family decided to donate his vital organs. The organs harvested includes two kidneys, liver, heart and corneas, thereby providing a new lease of life to six individuals, Selected from the Mrithasanjeevani Registry of State Government. The kidney, liver and heart transplant were conducted at VPS Lakeshore, PVS and AIMS hospitals. The corneas were donated to Little Flower Hospital Eyer Bank, Angamally.
